Order and Shipping Policies


How do I place an order?
It's easy! When you see an item you'd like to purchase, simply click on the "Add to Cart" button below the price. The item will be added to your shopping cart. You then may continue shopping, or click "View Cart" to check out. (Please note: You can access your shopping cart at any time on any Sass Brown Designs product page by clicking the "View Cart" button.)

What payment methods do you accept?
Sass Brown Designs' shopping cart is powered by PayPal, where you safely, quickly, and easily can make credit card payments online. If you would rather not pay online, please contact Sass Brown Designs for an address to send a personal check, or for a phone number to call us with your Visa or Mastercard number during business hours. You also may pay by money order or certified check, but your item/s will not ship until the payment clears.

Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax is required only for residents of the state of Virginia. It automatically will be calculated and added to your order upon checkout.

How much will shipping cost?
The following shipping amounts automatically will be added to your order upon checkout:

$0.01–$49.99 = $2.50
$50.00–$99.99 = $7.50
$100.00–$199.99 = $9.50
$200.00 and over = $11.50

Do you ship overseas?
In most cases we can ship internationally, but please contact us before placing your order for a shipping quote.

How long will it take for my order to arrive? What shipping method/s do you use?
Your item/s will ship via U.S.P.S. First Class mail (for orders under $50) or Priority Mail (for orders over $50) just as soon as they are handmade for you, usually within one week. Shipping typically takes an additional 2–4 days. If you need your order right away, please contact us before placing your order and we will try to make alternate arrangements. Shipping charges include delivery confirmation, or insurance and gift box/es for totals over $50.

What if I want to make an adjustment to one of your items (like the length of a necklace or color of beads)?
No problem! In most cases, we can help you design exactly what you want. Just e-mail us to discuss your options, and we will figure out a way to make it happen. For most minor changes, you can just specify your request in the "Special Requests" section during checkout. Additional fees may apply for additional labor or materials.

The necklace I ordered doesn't look exactly like the image I saw online. Why not?
In most cases, we are able to duplicate an item exactly as it is pictured on our website. However, due to the limited availability of vintage beads and the irregularity of semi-precious stone, the actual item may vary slightly from the picture. If we are unable to make a close replica, we will let you know.

Do you accept returns?
We want you to be thrilled with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with your order, please contact Sass Brown Designs to arrange for a return, repair, or exchange at our discretion based on each individual situation. Returns and exchanges must be made within 30 days of placing your order. Unless the item arrived damaged, return shipping is the customer's responsibility. All items for return should be packed securely (and insured, if desired); Sass Brown Designs is not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit. Custom orders are not available for return or exchange.

My wedding / graduation / bat mitvah is coming up. Do you take custom orders?
You bet. We would love to help design something unique for your special day. In the past, we have made Personalized Letter Tile charm bracelets for bridal parties, cufflinks for groomsmen, and even a "Marry Me" necklace for a proposal! Just contact us via e-mail, and we'll get the process rolling—brainstorming ideas, developing design prototypes, and making necessary adjustments. We guarantee that you will love what we have designed together, but this initial process is not a commitment; you may cancel any time before your order is placed. We may even be able to negotiate a price reduction for bulk orders.

Please note that pre-payment is required on all custom orders because we will be ordering special materials just for you. Payment is due once you have agreed to the design and the price.

Does Sass Brown Designs accept wholesale inquiries?
Yes! Please send us your tax id number (resale license) and website or street address. We will get back to you shortly with a price list and wholesale policies.
